Commitment and Investment

Commitment to accessibility

As a compassionate psychologist committed to ensuring that individuals of all identities have equal access to quality care, I make it a priority to reserve a few client slots for those in need of a sliding scale or greatly reduced fee. Although at present, all of these positions are already filled, I understand the importance of regularly updating my website to promptly reflect any potential openings. This proactive approach ensures that individuals seeking affordable mental health services can easily identify the availability of sliding scale spots when they become available.

Investment

Therapy is undoubtedly a considerable investment, requiring substantial amounts of time, money, emotions, and energy. It is a commitment that should not be taken lightly. Recognizing this, I wholeheartedly strive to prioritize your personal development, ensuring that you receive valuable returns on your investment. With dedication and a focus on your growth, I aim to honor the trust you place in me and maximize the benefits that therapy can offer.

At this time, I do not work with insurance companies to cover the cost of therapy services and am considered and out-of-network provider. This is for several reasons. First, I am a full-time private practice psychologist. This means I have a set amount of time each week dedicated to my practice, and I want all available time to be invested in providing therapy services to my clients. Secondly, while a person’s benefits and circumstances change, a private pay fee remains relatively consistent. Private pay fees are currently between $150.00 - $200.00 per session. Fees for workshops start at 250$ per hour.

If you are someone who wants to utilize your insurance provider for therapy, I can provide you a superbill after each session. A superbill has information your insurance would collect if you were seeking reimbursement through your insurance company. Please check with your insurance to confirm what percentage of reimbursement you are offered when using out-of-network providers as I cannot guarantee that you will be provided a reimbursement by your insurance provider.
